A graduate of the University of Ottawa Faculty of Civil Law (1987) and a member of the Quebec Bar since 1988, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Rouleau worked for 14 years as legal counsel for the Royal Bank of Canada. She redirected her career towards mediation in 2004, offering her services as a mediator in civil, commercial and organizational matters (business relationships, conflicts between shareholders, service providers, psychological harassment and interpersonal conflicts in the workplace).<\/p>\n

In addition to numerous trainings in mediation, communication and facilitation with experts accredited by the Quebec Bar, the Institut des M\u00e9diateurs et Arbitres du Qu\u00e9bec (IMAQ) and HEC Montreal, H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Rouleau studied at the Faculty of Ethics and Philosophy of the University of Sherbrooke. She was involved for many years in groups practicing non-violent communication based on the approach of Marshall B. Rosenberg and has trained in transformative mediation in Europe and the United States, namely with the co-founders of ISCT Robert A. Baruch Bush (Hofstra University, New-York) and Joseph P. Folger (Temple University, Philadelphia).<\/span><\/p>\n

Mediator certified by the Quebec Bar, IMAQ and<\/span> the Institute for the Study of Conflict Transformation<\/em> (ISCT), Mrs. Rouleau practices under the name HR Mediation, after having collaborated with the firms Professionnels en r\u00e8glement des diff\u00e9rends S.A<\/span>.<\/em> and Centre de Formation par l\u2019Action Inc. Her mandates of mediation, group facilitation, neutral evaluation and investigation of harassment complaints (private, institutional, public, semi-public and associative sectors) made her acquire significant expertise to approach conflicts in organizations.<\/span><\/p>\n

H\u00e9l\u00e8ne Rouleau also developed extensive experience in training throughout her career, providing internal training sessions at Royal Bank, as a professor at the School of the Bar of Quebec and as a lecturer at the University of Sherbrooke. She is a certified trainer with the Ministry of Employment and Social Affairs of Qu\u00e9bec and with the ISCT on the transformative approach to conflict.<\/span><\/p>\n

Helene Rouleau has served for many years on the Board of Directors of IMAQ, also sitting on its Executive committee and acting as president of its Labour relations committee. Member of the Participative Justice Committee of the St. Francis Bar (Quebec), the Association des Gestionnaires en Ressources Humaines de l’Estrie and the R\u00e9seau pour une approche transformative du conflit, Mrs. Rouleau has been involved for a long time in the promotion and development of dispute resolution processes. She regularly gives lectures, workshops and training on the mediation process, communication skills, psychological harassment and intervention modes in the workplace.<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
